In cooperation with the Bulgarian institute SCAS and several other European partners (Alinari from Italy, the Karl-Franzens-Universität from Austria, the European Research Centre for Book and Paper Conservation-Restoration in Austria and the Central Library of Bulgarian Academy of Sciences) a grant is given to realise  a project (BBinding)  which develops course material for the vocational training in the field of preservation of books and paper, photos and archives; this all in the framework of the LLP Project (LeonardoDaVinci-Transfer Of Innovation).

Cor Knops

Trained as an art teacher and via wanderings in education, art and art management eventually landed in the trade of restoration. Since 22 years Cor leads his business Knops Boekrestauratie.

Almost the whole spectrum of (western) book history passed through his hands: from middle age manuscripts, countless incunabula, the sketchbooks of Vincent van Gogh upto extensive projects like the library Ets Haim (Unesco world heritage) and the collection of 19th century bindings of the Maritiem Museum Rotterdam. Private clients and collectors also find their way to Knops Boekrestauratie
